well I was riding passenger in my friends G Coupe. He pulled up next to a TL-P at the light, and i told him its not really worth his time and its prolly some old guy. so he pulls up to the TL-P and it turned out it was a middle aged lady with an older guy in the passenger. I told him theres no way she gonna race u so relax. light turns green and this bitch guns it, spinnin her wheels. my buddy is like wtf, so he caught up to her and smoked the shit out her, but she didnt give up, she kept comin after the G. finally he said fuck it and pulled behind her at around 80mph. this woman pulles over to the shoulder and starts to brake almost nailing the curb. my buddy almost rearended her, good thing hes got those brembos. I hear this chick jus revvin her motor, turns out she blew her tranny and the gears were slipping. I was like been there done that. overall i found that to be kinda funny.

Funny story. BTW, I think Brembos do not enable the G35 to brake any better than those without Brembos. Braking ability has more to do with tire friction. (I seem to recall in C/D that the G35C w/Brembos posted 70-0 footage only two feet better than my non-Brembo Murano.)

TL-S KiD, if you friend's G35C is a 6MT (which is unlikely in NYC area) and can drive he will likely waste your stock TL-S. The 5AT G35C should edge out a TL-S.

 

Unless you have 10k to burn and you are rich and want a thrill don't race him, he will take your money. G coupes are fast, evfen 5AT have 280HP, MT's have 298HP. tl-s is 260 before SAE correction, he is RWD also and his car sits lower than a stock tl-s. don't try it w/o mods.

 

yeah if he can drive he'll take u...when my friend first got the G i was pullin on him on everytime we did it from a roll. then i taught his ass how to drive it, now he walks on my TL-S. well i got something for him coming next week, hopefully the UR pulley should help me stick with him.

oh yea i have intake and suspension so im mildly modded and still lose so theres no way u can take him uless he cant drive it for shit. i say u race him before he learns how to drive that car

i have a 3g 5at tl and lost to my boys 03 6mt g35c...he has an injen intake and thats it..i got aem intake, eshift procats, comptech exhaust, comptech rsb, tein ss, i have a system but i took it out for the runs..i also have 18x8.5 ronjon chrome inspyres..left those on... and i was only able to stay with him through his 1st 2nd and 3rd after hit threw in 4th he would start pullin away slowly from me.we did it about 5 times and every time it was the same outcome me stayin with him until 4th

 

The only thing funny here is the fact that the Brembo's do not stop that car any quicker than the regular brake system.

From a stoplight, no chance on him; the RWD really does grip alot better than our FWD.

From a 20mph roll, a closer match, but still.. by the time I hit 90-100mph, I can see his rear license plate.

Now, if your friend wants to put 10g's on a race with his stock G35 against your TL-S... I hope to god you weren't talking shit like you were going to win. He won't edge you out: he'll beat you from a dead stop; and from a roll, you'll be seeing him pull away in 4th gear.

If you really want to put 10g's on the race... do this: Go buy a Comptech SC for 4000, a Hope Systems IC for 2000, and some racing slick tires and light weight wheels for 2000. Then challenge him and beat him. You'd make 10g's... minus the 8g's it cost to get there.. and you have a 2g profit!

Short of you having Forced Induction, you best keep your mouth shut.
