Fuuny Thing Happend at the Honda Dealer
Funny thing happened at the Honda dealer the other day. The lease was running out on my 06 Accord SE and I was thinking I would return it and lease a new CRV. Took the CRV EXL for a drive and, well, it was nice but it seemed like a step down from the Accord. But since my wife already owns a 03 EXL Accord I was pretty much ready to try to make a deal on the CRV. As I returned to the dealer after test driving the CRV I glanced over to the used car lot and saw this 06 TL sitting there and thought, nice looking car. Well I went in to the salemans office to see what kind of a deal I could get on the CRV. I got them down to a pretty good deal and got a 1.9% lease rate so I felt pretty good . Anyway just before I signed the deal, I asked if I could take the TL for a drive just for a laugh. Well, 3 days later I have an 06 TL sitting in the driveway.
I am really impressed so far, the car has 71,000 KM and it is in great shape. I have scanned this site for a few days, but if there are any things I should watch out for, let me know.
Thanks
RDG

If I could warn you of one major thing to watch out for, it would be "anyone that doesn't have an Acura" !!! We are like Bull's Eye to every other car it seems recently (if you read the threads)

Nice pick up! Congrats and welcome.
Check all of the fluids---replace power steering, brake fluids as they are beyond the 3 year lifetime (if original, but why take the chance--just replace and be done with it). Check the tranny fluid (if AT) for burnt smell and severe discoloration. If it smells burnt, replace it. As you drive, check for smooth shifting. If you notice any sloppiness, look into replacing the 3rd and 4th gear pressure sensors.
DIYs for all of these items can be found in the 3G Garage here: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3g-tl-service-department-aka-garage-questions-answers-check-here-first-553557/
Finally, post up some pics and more info on the new ride!
