Fun with a 350Z 6MT
I head out on my lunch break at 11:01, basically I had to head into town which takes 20 minutes, pickup some medical reports for my mom, drive all the way back home, and then make it in time for work.
Background: The race happened on the "Grade", it's basically a 4 lane highway divided, 2 lanes going one way, 2 lanes going the other. At the bottom of the grade there's a light and it's about a 5mile stretch of gradual curves and a 1 mile stretch that's straight.
As I'm heading home with the medical reports, I come behind a 350z 6MT convertible, I come up along side him and pass him (pretty gradually, didn't blow by him). He instantly changes lanes and is tailgating me. About a half mile before the light the zone is a 55, I gun it and get up to around 85mph until I hit the light (he is right behind me). I was in 3rd gear, doing about 110mph, making gradual lane changes to avoid traffic. As I got up to redline in 3rd gear he was still 20 - 30 ft behind me. I let off after hitting 6800rpm, I rolled down my window and gave him the
. It was a half and half, wasn't necessarily a race .. but kind of like a keep up game. Very fun.

Very fun.I did the same thing with a Porsche 911 Turbo Convertilble, the guy was wearing a button up shirt and tie with Sunglasses on taking the highway to work, I saw him passing people so I say let's see whats up with this guy. I get in the fast lane and I'm going around 80 or so and he's behind me, I'm like let's see if he tries to keep up with me, I downshift to 3rd needless to say he was quite impressed, but he wanted to see how far I would push it. He gave me a good ol' smile after I slowed down and he passed me, I had to get off the exit.

i raced an auto Z with intake and pulley. wow tht kid was a bitch.i raced him twice beat him by atleast half car both times. I shut it off by 115ish and he did his ricer flyby. He then started arguing sayin he beat me. im pretty sure he thinks he genuinly passed me liked i was standing still once i hit my brakes. then hes like "i wanna race u from a dig" so i was like fine...ill race you from 0-115, i have no intention of goin any faster since our trap speed is around a 100. hes like no i wanna race u from 0-150, im like why whts the point. hes like cause i kno my car can go faster. what a dumbass. oh yea by the way its daddys Z.
