a...a.....a...... fukin rat??????!!!!!!!

Sup guys!

I just installed my AEM CAI, I can feel the car is faster than before!

I really love the sound, especially when 3000-4500rpm, awesome!

And I also got a problem here: When I was checking the stock intake

parts, I found a little grey rat body in my intake!

I'm so worried if there are more inside my engine!

Anyway, here's my CAI:

No issues, they just want to take part in your TL's tasty desert platter... Otherwise known as your knock sensor and other expensive to replace wires etc....

Rats and mice love to go after hood pads and insulation. If a rat did manage to get inside your engine, You'd have immediate problems.

Try parking your car inside. If you already do, it's time to get a cat.

Hey Mio, it's funny that it happened to you too. My friend also found a dead mouse in his filter box as well. He only checked the filter because his engine was running rough one day.
Anyways, It's about damn time you finally took the plung and installed the CAI.

Congrats on your new purchase of AEM CAI!!

Now we need to see some pics of the RAT!!! and your install pics!!!

Good that you have the new DryFlow filter. Mine is the old red ones!!

Dam I am scare to look at my OEM filter now!! Maybe that is why it is so heavy.

I had the same thing happen to me. I had an rsx before this and had an aftermarket intake. I was popping my hood on a cold morning just to see if everything was still tight, and there was a giant rat by the intake area. It scared the crap out of me because it ran around my engine a few times before it escaped.

I think its because the engine bay is warm when you park it so little furry animals seek heat at night and just sleep there.

I had an old '66 Pontaic Bonneville and one day I started the car and heard this terrible shrill shriek and then a few thuds under the hood, so I got out and popped the hood and found blood and hair all over the inside of the engine compartment. Turns out a local cat decided to take a nap under the fan blade. needless to say, that cat used up all nine lives that day That was a nasty mess to have to clean up. I started tapping the horn before I started my car from them on......

I also remember seeing from the TSX forum where someone found a snake by the engine compartment. The snake got stuck and something grinded the snake in pieces. The picture was disgusting with blood all over the engine bay.

Nice and I see that the sensor is not re-allocated for the extra hp.
