Fuel additives
Do any of you use fuel additives with your TL? Someone is trying to sell me EnviroMax and I'm a little hesitant to put anything in my tank. I've tried to research it and have not found anything negative about the product yet. Just wanted to know if any of you use additives and whether or not they are beneficial or possibly harmful.

I had a similar thread that might help you some. https://acurazine.com/forums/car-talk-5/fuel-additive-cleaner-all-stuff-310297/
Another thing I have heard highly of for cleaning out carbon specifically is Seafoam, but I really don't think I would trust myself doing that to my TL. I did it to my Jeep but haven't really drivin it to see if it worked at all

Try the Journals:

Also, add Lube Control to the list of good products I mentioned. You get what you pay for with these products.

i've been using Redline SI-1 since reading that road rage thread on s2k forum. i don't know if there is a huge benefit as it's more of a maintenance thing to me than a performance enhancer.

THe only additives I would add would be those for maintainance every Xk miles. I would never add anything that is supposed to make it better for the environment for many reasons:
1. I don't buy global warming(although C02 is bad for the atmosphere)
2.I don't want to risk any damage to my engine
3. It is already a ULEV 2 vehicle
4. The money could be better spent

RR,
Lube Control is for the ENGINE NOT the Fuel System.
Fuel Power is for the fuel system, and works quite well.
Amsoil PI is cheaper, but may not work as well in improving combustion efficiency. The Redline product seems to be quite similar to the Amsoil product, I'd use the Amsoil since it is less expensive if you're deciding between the two.

TECHRON, made by Chevron, should work for you. Never heard anything negative about this fuel cleaner. It safely removes moisture from the fuel system and cleans deposits from from valves etc. Have been using it for a long time at 5K mile intervals. Its good preventive maintenance.
