Front Right Passenger Power Seat
I just noticed today that the right front passenger seat does not move up or down but only moves forward-backward and seatback reclines and inclines.
is this normal?
is this normal?

Yes, that's normal. I didn't realize that until much later, my girlfriend is 4'10 and my Lexus IS300 had a passenger 8 way power seat so she can't really see over the hood now. I thought it was pretty weird that Acura decided not to put in an 8 way power seat for the passenger, that and auto headlights are the two things that I think they should have put in the car.

Most people who sit in my car don't have a problem, but once they start messing with the seat for whatever reason, the first thing they ask is "The seat doesn't go up or down?"
Oh well. How much money could this have saved Acura? Especially if they produced 50k+ cars.

GF - It's true that higher level luxury cars provide more adjustments for the passenger, but most cars in the TL's price range don't.
I guess the theory is that the passenger doesn't need to adjust up or down since that adjustment is more for finding the best driving position and less related to back or leg comfort.
What really surprises me, though, is how most of the cars in the TL's price range don't give the passenger lumbar adjustment. It seems to me that if you're going to be in the car for several hours you would want that whether you are driving or not.

ES300 and G35 have up and down, I believe.

Yo! XP. That's why I said "most" cars in the TL's price range. And BMW 3 is NOT what I had in mind as an example of "higher level" cars. I don't even think of the 3 as being as far up the chain as our TL!
The bottom line remains that passenger up/down is not a widely demanded feature. Some people want or need it, but not most. Whereas, the driver needs every adjustment imaginable.
