I think that it looks nice on my car. I'm not sure what your opinion has to do with anything here. I fail to see where we are asking what you think.

Thanks

I don't like the offset look (just my opinion)

But then again it doesn't really look good anywhere on the front bumper .... but lucky for me front plated are not required where I live, so I keep the clean look on the front without one

I know this thread started years ago, but since someone else dug it up from the grave I will give my opinion as well. Those offset plates absolutely ruin the look of the front of the car. It looks so awkward and takes all the attention away from the awesome lines of the TL. Why someone would want to attract attention to a license plate is beyond me. Like I have always said, if you must have a front license plate, keep it in the location where it looks the cleanest...IN THE MIDDLE where Honda designed it to be. Another one of the mods that guys do on the Acura forums that I will never understand ;-)

^that's something we can both agree on.

whenever I see the relocated license plate I just shake my head. looks like someone just tossed the plate like a Frisbee at the front of the car and said "yeah, that's good" and walked away.

I received this as a gift and decided to give it a shot.

I agree, I absolutely hate the front plate look. One of these days I may grow the balls to drive around without one (illegally).

The main reason I like the relocation is due to the stock location covers the "Acura" on the front bumper and also takes away from the little lip that sticks out along the bottom of edge of the bumper.

My brother and I tried the majority of the 15 (I think) different arrangements to find the one that looked the best. I didn't want to cover too much of the lower grill, and I didn't want it to mess with the edge that runs along the top of the bumper.

Also, it is VERY solid. I have taken it through Delta Sonic's car wash that has the heavy hanging fabric strips that are dragged over the car and it has not budged at all.

Personally, I like the look of an offset plate. Also, It is much easier to take it off if you want to run without a plate to a meet or something. I know that this will always be one of those hate it or love it type things (just like window and sunroof visors).

Besides, How could I rock my Doomed Decal if I had the plate in the front

I have the Tow hook RHO plate on my car. I purchased my car from PA and it did not have the front plate bracket, nor did it have the holes which is why I opted to do this. It looks fine as long as it is mounted correctly, I hate when people zip tie them or whatever off to the side and its half-assed. Didnt want to ruin the front bumper with holes. Plus the Domed decal is not visible at all with the front plate and the decal adds a nice touch to the car.

I guess to each their owm.

How would holes ruin your front bumper when there are two caps that pop out where the screws go into? The OEM plate bracket utilizes those holes so no holes get drilled into the bumper.

I love my RHO plate.

JTS97Z28; you're right about that but sometimes when the plate has been there forever with a bracket, it leaves scuffs and scratches from cars bumping into you (or you bumping into cars) but you of course don't have that problem with 25k miles

I've always only installed the RHO plate on a freshly
Painted bumper; partially for looks and partially to avoide any scratches from a screw in mount. Here's mine.

I like the offset plate, but I just hate how it's angled. If it faced straight ahead parallel to the car it would be fantastic.
