Question front center armrest question

i'm looking for some solution to get the center armrest a bit more comfortable
coming from 92 accord i find TL's armrest mmm well .... useless
in accord i can have my right elbow on the the armrest and have a good grip on the steering wheel at the same time
in TL no matter how far i pull out the steering column and how low i place the seat i can barely reach the steering wheel with my fingers

i tried looking for some kind of extension on-line
all i found was not only bulky but also didn't seem to have any smart way of mounting on the existing armrest

i know it was designed with MT in mind, but may be i'm not alone and someone else already solved it?

I assume you know that the armrest slides forward correct? You didn't mention it so I thought I would point it out just in case.

I usually drive with one hand on the shifter while the other on the steering wheel... I find that the left armrest is also too far from the steering wheel... when i pull the steering wheel out it feels awkward......

I guess this is a prime example of not one size fits all. I can rest both elbows and be on the wheel just perfectly. I"m joe standard 5'10", regular build, average honkey and I fit in there just right.

Contivity, nice box. (sorry, computer joke). But I too rest my right hand on the shifter on occasion, just fits perfectly from the armrest to the knob. But I try not to do it as I was trained to drive by oldies who say not to rest on the sticks, mainly in manual shifts so as not to put pressure on the pawl and cause wear, not an issue so bad in the AT in the TL, but I still try not to do it.
