and btw, let Google be your friend. goto Google and type "wwwdotempirepaodotcom intext:moleskin"
remove the quotes and change the two "dot" words to a period. this will give you some other pages to read, etc.

With the tintprotector moleskin, do you get alot of streaks of glue? Everyday when it's warm out, i get glue all over my windows! I checked and double checked my moleskin and everything looks fine! I'd rather have glue streaks than scratches, but it sucks having to clean them twice a week...any input would be great...

Yes, I installed it myself, but i don't know how I could have screwed it up. I cleaned the wipes with alcohol and applied the moleskin and let dry for about 10 hours, put them back into my car and didn't open my windows for another 24hrs. I thought it was a fairly basic install, i could be wrong I guess?!

Also had the glue streaks and cleaned them with Goo Gone. It took some months but I don't seem to get them now. We'll see, now that hotter weather is upon us. But like you mentioned, I would rather get the glue than the scratches.

Timb, did you cut the molesking in half to cover each wipe seperately? it also depends on how low or high you apply the moleskin to the wipe. let me explain briefly. when you have the wipes out what you see is not how they are when they are up against the glass. when installed the wipes fold some. if the moleskin is installed too low its possible that the edge of the moleskin gets more downward force (more than usual, etc) causing the edge to lift slightly, and then it will eventually lift enough for the edge to pick up enough for the glass to catch the backside of the moleskin causing some glue to stick to the tint film.
now, as a preventative, your tint film should not be cleaned with cleaner that leaves it super dry (like alcohol, etc). some form of plastic cleaner is ideal (like that from Novus). my tinter gave me a bottle of cleaner and it says it has "silicone" in it. this makes the film more "slippery" to the felt and glue, etc.....

They are cut in half, one half for each wipe. They are installed roughly 1/16 from the edge of the wipe (i believe that's what the isntructions said, i didnt measure, just eyeballed it). i was watching the wipes and moleskin more closely today, and the top of the moleskin does seem to "fold" a little when the window is going down.
Ill try a better cleaner first, then Ill have to re-do the job. Thanks for your knowledge!
