Footwell Lights

Ive got an 07 Base TL w/navi and ive heard its got stock footwell lights? does any1 got a pic of this if its true because i dont have lights in mine....

i got an 05 base tl an mine never came with footwell lights either.

i tihnk someone told me its only 07 and 08 that got the lights, but either way i found mine, the previous owner unplugged them for some reason.

If you want to make them brighter, just peel off the plastic covering.

I have a base '07 TL and it has the blue lights on the Driver and Passenger footwell.. my 2005 didnt have it.

you can only see them if you wear like white shoes, its sucks, but ima try and just get brigther leds

Yeah, you could upgrade the bulb and remove the cover, but if you want to do the rear seats too (to match), you might as well upgrade the fronts to custom leds =)

The DIY is idiot proof

The footwell lights everyone is referring too is part of the ambient lighting. It's not intended to light up the footwells bright enough to see anything.

LOL, no, you just have to remove the underdash panel. Follow the wire to the bulb in the panel. The bulb should be able to be pulled out. Take the thin plastic cover off the bulb and reinstall. The cover defuses the light a bit. Easy peasy.

Very true. It's just one LED on each side. It's not super bright.

i finally see them tonight when i had to place some foil by my foot. don't know why they are so insignificant...

My type s red ones weren't bright enought so I added led strips front and back ..wired them up to existing foot wiring...looks like a airplane cockpit at night..lol

FYI..did this also in my old 05 and loved it also,wired it up to a switch,
