Footwell LEDS
Footwell LEDS
I bought footwell LED lights at the auto parts store and not to positive on how to wire them up. I've been skimming through the forums looking for a tutorial on how to wire them so that there always on. Should you wire them through the center console or what? Also am I going to have to take apart the center console to hide wires? I have an 2007 Acura TL.
Use my DIY to wire everything and hide everything.
The only difference is instead of splicing the negative wire to the dome supervision wire, you're going to splice the negative wire into a wire OR fuse that is constantly on when your car is on.
You might want a dimmer because depending on how bright your LEDs are, they might glare off the windows at night.
Another option is to wire it so that they only turn on when your parking lights are on (at night) as you probably can't see them during the day while driving anyways.
Cheers

Thanks a lot. Also what would you think would be slightly easier to do wiring to another wire or into the fuse box? Sorry i'm a bit new to all this. Where would I wire them to have them only on at night?
Positive wire to fuse box via "add-a-circuit".
Negative wire to parking light wire behind the dash.
That will make it so your footwells only go on at night (essentially when you have your parking lights on).
