A Fond Farewell
To Everyone Here:
Today, I say goodbye to my 06 TL- it's going to be my brother's car in Colorado- it's a gift for all the help he's given me over time (when I need technical help, I call Colorado and I get my tech support there). Anyway, the TL is one of only 5 cars that I've owned since new, and it's been by far the best and most reliable. The only issues of failure were a bad starter and a frozen brake caliper, so really not much at all. I have no doubt it can easily last another 10 years at a minimum. It has 120,000 miles on it now and I actually bought it today 10 years ago. I didn't feel like selling it (having tire kickers come over and then not buy it) and my brother and his wife could really use a good car, which this is.
I have great regard for everyone here...I've received a lot of great advice on Acurazine when I've had lesser issues to keep the TL running properly and the 3G Garage has been a great resource. So for that, I thank everyone very much! As for checking in on Azine, I will from time to time, mostly for the Lewd and Non Nude, Just Body section
!
(J/K!)
I'm not getting any new cars...the wife and I are moving to South Carolina so I already have a 2004 MR-2 and a 1993 Nissan 300ZX convertible (which is already in SC), so both of these cars will do driver duty in SC. I have no need for 3 cars that need insurance and upkeep once I'm down there. The driver came today with a flatbed truck and it was transported to a large car carrier for its journey to Colorado this morning (Umbrella Auto Transport, Inc.):

We've had a vacation town home in Myrtle Beach for the past 9 years and we always spoke of moving down there permanently, so we'll be on the west side of MB (about 10 miles inland, near Conway).

Congratulations to you and your wife! That was awesome of you, to give the TL to your brother. I had a similar experience when my older brother gave me his maxima. It was an honor. I was terribly sad the day I sold the maxima, because I felt an attachment to the car because of him. We went to meets with the maxima and worked on it together.
My parents have a place in Myrtle beach, SC. My wife and I have gone done together once. I've gone 3x times already. I absolutely love the area. We also thought about moving down south to get out of NJ. Be careful with the locals, apparently they have a few choice words of those that are from the North. I went into a rid-aid to get a few things when we got there, a local had over heard us saying "long drive from NJ".. he walked up to me and my wife to express that he hates anyone from NJ, NY, CT ect ect and called me a yankee.. I kept my cool and just let it be. Told the guy "ok, that's good, well have a good night Sir"..

I suspect my brother will actually take care of the car better than I have- he should be a pro mechanic because he's so good at what he can do with a car (or anything mechanical really). It'll be in very good hands and I have no doubt about that. As for MB, most people from there are from the NE (NJ, NY, PA, and OH), so if you ran into one of the old school locals, they're actually few in number.
Thanks for the well wishes.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Anyway, here's the epilogue:
It made it to CO without issue (so no damage from the transport):

And here's a shot of my old 00 and the 06:

Nice and clean now: And on to the new brakes/ rotors/ calipers:

It's definitely in the right hands. I will miss it as it has been a fantastic car, but it's time to have a new owner. I've been using my MR-2 as my DD (still in NJ til early May) recently and it hasn't been bad with the hard top on:

Once I get to SC permanently, I'll have the choice of the MR-2 or the Z to use regularly:

So as you see, too many cars to insure if I kept the Acura, plus, we have the wife's SRX, so still in all, lots of choices.
I will still browse the forum as it's been great to be on here for all the time I've spent here. Again, I thank you all for assistance, humor, and positive comments. To all here, be well!
