Fog lights for '04-'06 3G

Does anyone have aftermarket fog lights on the 3G years without factory ones? Suggestions and pics would be appreciated.. Id rather get a set of thin ones to fit the grill instead of the entire oem grill mod to fit them.

you're all over the place, matty.

1st, because the 04-06 TL's came with foglights in the headlight housing, There are NOT GOING TO BE any factory fog options to fit in the lower grille area.

2nd) we imitate the type-s lower foglights, BY buying 03-05 Accord sedan fog lights.
then, modifying the lower grilles in order to accommodate these fogs.

Did you even read my first post? I said aftermarket, and no oem or mod. LED suggestions would be great.

^thanks for clarifying your post.
when i said you were all over the place, I just didnt freaking understand your post.

Acurazine as a whole have only found the 03-05 accord sedan fogs the cleanest to install.

so, if you come up with something cleaner or in your case, SLIMMER, then thats on YOU.

Matty, be the innovator . I'm coounting on you to find another option that looks great.

if not, you're going to have to fall in line like every one else and get the accord fogs.

justn is right you have to create your own fogs if you dont want to follow everyone else. i believe there was a member you got some aftermarket maxima or es330 fogs (IIRC) to fit but you will have to search my friend

IIRC, those members retrofitted those projectors into the accord fog housing.

So technically, they are still accord fogs, just without halogens lol.

Here are some that aren't 03-05 accord sedan fogs:

Accord coupe fogs:

Inspire fogs:

Lol on the ghetto.

LED's aren't there yet, as far as light output for real functioning fog lights.
Needs to be halogen or HID to get high light output, for night driving and weather conditions.

Sounds like your looking for DRL's.

Glass lens Accord mod with HID conversion is way to go.

Most of the thin rectangular aftermarket halogen fog lights are little more than just bling. The ones I've seen/used aren't very bright and generally have poor beam patterns (poor illumination, poor width, poor cutoff).

As far as LED lights, Piaa is the only company I know of right now that makes an LED lamp with an actual foglamp beam pattern (wide beam, sharp top cutoff). Unfortunately it's round (see here: http://www.piaa.com/powersports-lamps/ps-led-lp530.html).

Lots of companies offer LED driving lights, but since these are off-road beams with no cutoff/glare control, they are only suitable for use in conjunction with high beams, not low beams.

I did it on mine. I just used Hella LED DRL modules.

Just FYI, these are DRLs, NOT fog lamps. They don't provide any road illumination.

Is it the color in the picture or are the DRL are a little yellowish in the pic?

They're 5000k leds (roughly the same color as the headlights) so they're more of a pure white. Most white LEDs are 6000k-8000k (slightly blue), so we're used to white LEDs looking more bluish. So actual white LEDs appear slightly yellowish to the eye, but in reality they're pure white.

I have a freaking awesome idea. How about... YOU write up a DIY for them? I've been searching this website for one like crazy, but I'm pretty bad at looking for things. DIY or not... lots of pics plz!

I guess I'm one of the few who actually like our stock fog light location. It reminds me of the old JDM Honda Integra lights.

I put Philips 9012/HIR2 bulbs in my fog lights and I have the switch wired to turn them on or off regardless of the headlamps being on. So, I essentially use them as DRL and with the 2400 lumens they put out my sister actually drove 15 miles home with just the fog lights on.

What about the stock CAI design on the 04-06 front bumper? Will it affect anything from a fog light blocking airflow?

I must say, inspire fogs look a lot easier to install than accord fogs.
The part of the accord fog install that takes longest is cutting the fog bezels to fit into the opening, nice and flush.
This part requires you to cut and test, and repeat x100.

Now inspire fogs, they don't look like they have a bezel - it's just the fog assembly that sits in there lol
It also makes me wonder how you would aim them, too.

Great job jonmizu!

Lets see some more pics =)

This is the only shot I got I'm gonna see how they point tonight! I think 04-06 hve an advantage because we already have fog lights so these fogs will only shine additional to the dogs that are already there

I bought inspire "style" (not sure if really authentic but it was to cheap to be true) fog lights 100 dollars on eBay well see how long they last honestly I feel this matches the bumper better than the accord fogs and they had them in clear or smoked mines are the smoked versions. Also came with button and harness the only thing I bought extra was an add-a-fuse kit so I didn't have to split any wires

This is the method I used. It still allows me to use the stock fog lamp switch and they'll stay on even when you have the high beams on. Now if you wanna get crazy get yourself some Philips HIR2 bulbs the put out 1875 lumens, and if you really wanna crazy get the HIR1 bulbs they put out 2500 lumens. It does take a little modification to get them to fit but a simple file will work. I put the HIR2 bulbs in mine but I wish I would have used the HIR1 bulbs, and since our cars have the cap over tip of the fog lamp bulb you don't have to worry about blinding oncoming traffic
