FOG Light recommendations? (9006)

Looking for recommendations to replacing 2k6 TL fogs (9006). Had Polarg yellows in there but blew after less then a year with minimal use to boot. Considered HID but not sure how long I will be keeping the car so don't want to spend more then I really need to. I'm trying to get away with less then $50 to replace them.

Anyone tried Luminics? Any good or bad about them?

Thanks.

I have luminics 6000k bulbs in my fog lights, have had them for over a year now still work perfectly fine, haven't had one problem with them.

Nice! Thats what I want to hear. I read somewhere about wire issues so I wanted to check if anyone else has them for a while and if they ran in to issues like that.

Thanks!

I have never had any problems with them at all, I know some people had problems with not securing the bulbs properly in the hole and causing condesation in the housing, I haven't had either problem with the bulbs at all.

I know how some of the guys here wont agree with me but I personally purchased a set of HID's from ebay (cheap ) for 68 dollars shipped. I also have an 06 and I replaced the foglights with the kit which is a 6000k. I dont regret it one bit it makes the headlight look like one huge HID but it looks good and as far as light output and effectiveness its night and day. The HIDS made a huge difference. I had this one guy that owns a TL pull over at a gas station and ask me what I had done my headlights to get them to shine so much brighter and I told him and he went and purchased a set as well. if you wsant pics pm me Ill see what I can do.

Many of us with the incandescent yellow "3000k" bulbs have tons of premature failures. I ran 9006 Nokyas. I know you'd say you get what you pay for but I still love the color output on those, people actually thought they were close to 3000k HIDs. Thing is I don't think brand matters, any of these stupid color bulbs are going to die prematurely. That tinted coating on the bulb makes the bulb burn hotter and that's what kills it in 5 months.

Spend a few extra bucks for HID and the difference is night and day. It's the difference between a tube television and a plasma screen. Prices have come down (like they have with plasma screens) For the cost of 2 sets of regular short-term bulbs you're getting longer lasting, more efficient lights that give better visability. Even the cheapo Ebay chinese kits out there are a pretty safe bet and will last longer than you think.

Man... i can't decide if I want the yellow in the Fog lights or go white to match the headlights... I will probably end up getting HID's into the Foglights. Any pictures of the 04-06 TL's with yellow HID's in the foglights?

if you are looking for yellow, go Hoen Endurance. They are back in stock. I just ordered mine and will have pics once they come in. if you do a search with my name and Hoen in the subject line you will get a thread i started. someone else has these in their 07+ fogs if you want to give them a look see. they are not like ours, but at least you can see the color. i know there are others on here with yellow fogs in their 04-06, just do a search.

Thanks Blk...lol funny thing is that I read your thread and the one you linked as well. But I still want to see what HID's look like and what these HOEN's look like...cause they do look pretty nice in that thread of yours.

Post up those pics when you get them and I will make my final decision...since I am sure that the HID yellows will probably be almost the same look... Only thing is that i don't want it to fudge up my lighting up of the road.. i want to see how the light blends together if I were to have yellow HIDs in the fogs.
