Fog Light Bulbs for 07-08 type-s.

I just ordered some H8 bulbs on the 26th and they arrived today from TAICHUNG CITY TW. Needless to say I was impressed by the timely manner in which it arrived especially knowing where it came from. I ordered MTEC H8 4350K bulbs to be rid of all the ugly yellow lighting. They were only $34.95 for the set and includes shipping and insurance. Best part of the whole thing is they have a lifetime warranty.

Here is a link to where I purchased them.

Well the bulbs are at home and I am still at work. So I didn't have a chance to install them yet. But as soon as I have a chance I'll get some pictures up. I just found out they arrived due to an email I received and tracking information. They ship via Fedex btw.

NOT!! They are a direct replacement bulb for the '07/'08 fogs. Halogent bulb, same base, same draw wattage, same output wattage. There should be no problem.

x3 on the pics. I'd like to see them color-wise.

I have these same exact bulbs. I really wish they were brighter.

They don't burn anything because they're the exact same wattage as the old bulbs (maybe less)

But are they brighter than OEM bulbs? Also do you have pics up so I don't have to go out of my way to install these tonight and take pics for you guys? I would like to install them on my own time like this Sunday since per the manual it says you have to remove the bumper. Just don't feel like getting dirty tonight. At least not with my car.

^ That's the same exact thread that convinced me also. I don't know...they just don't seem as bright as the one's vegas has. Driving around, I see aftermarket fogs that are ridiculously bright (which is what I wanted), but these are just so-so, maybe half that output of the headlights.

Definitely not brighter than OEM at least for me, just more blue.

I'm guessing PIAA bulbs are the ridiculously bright ones I want.

Yea I went ahead and tossed them in tonight went through the fender liner took me like 10mins. They are just so-so aren't they. They are indeed much less yellow which is what I wanted I suppose but the color doesn't match. But I am not about to go purchasing new bulbs and swapping them in and out till they do. For the money they will work and can't really beat that guarantee (lifetime) from where I purchased them.

But as promised some pics.

1st is of just the drivers side.

2nd is of both sides.

My friend was unhappy with his bulbs too (he had the same ones). He had the balls to go to some huge store like Target/Wal-Mart, buy some PIAA bulbs there, switch them with the Mtecs, and returned the Mtecs as the PIAA. Not that it's a nice thing to do, but it works when you're young and don't give a fuck.

We should have a compilation of the different h8 bulbs used and pictures of the colors. Anyways I suppose I would have to give these a pass if I had to do it all over again. They aren't bad by any means but not what I was looking for. One thing I can say about the ebay seller is that communication was great and shipping was fast.

Someone should check these out. 2nd ones are LED

Cool. Glad you went through the wheel well. Thought you were gonna waste a lot of time taking the bumper off for no good reason.

Color is a little yellow still, BUT my Nokya's have gotten bluer once they "burned in". Started the same as the headlights, but are now bluer.

So, maybe after your MTec's "burn in" they might look a little better.

The nokya bulbs are 7000k compare to the 4350k, so they are bluer in color.

Ha well I was reading the service manual and it kept saying to remove the front bumper. But I was thinking to myself WTF would you have to remove the bumper to replace a bulb. That is ass backwards. Then I figured it out. They say that so they can charge more money for the labor to install them. So basically they can tell the customer its a 1hr job and charge them 1hr worth of labor and only take the 10mins to do it. Good way to beat flat rate.

Other wise no one at the dealership would want to touch a bulb change due to not making any money.
