fog light aiming

ok guys ive done some searches and all i come up with is about the headlights. i changed my fog lights out to yellow and last night i let my girlfriend drive my car and i noticed the fog lights werent aimed in the same direction causeing one to look brighter then the other from certain directions. is this normal and you cant tell with the stock bulb in or is it possible i fudged up the install? strange

The foglights are mounted in the headlight assembly, and there is no way to adjust them independently of the headlights. If you didn't change the headlight adjustment, then the original foglight adjustment wouldn't change either.

It may be they are set that way to illuminate one side better than the others, or maybe the bulbs you put in are not exactly the same size as the originals, which might change the focus of the lens.

We may hear more from some people who have changed their setup and did or didn't notice the same thing.

they wont notice it unless they see their car from a distance. the bulbs are the same size and i did not adjust them at all. it almost looks like they are aimed different ways from the factory to keep from blinding other drivers and with the stock bulb its something you would never notice. i could be wrong but thats what im trying to figure out. if no one knows anything i guess ill have to take them out and switch them and see what happens.

i dont think i need a headlight adjustment, the headlights seem to line up right its just the fog lights that seem to point in different directions. im beginning to think its designed that way. if u look at them up close they look fine its when u get a couple hundred feet away u can notice it. i dont think you would ever realize with a stock bulb, it must not be designed for a yellow bulb

yes.

there is no seperate fog lamp adjustment. they are adjusted w/ the headlamp screws.

i suspect you may have inserted a bulb incorrectly?

I did with no issues. You might double check that they are seated flat and correct. I had one cocked in the housing, which made it display weird. I fixed it and have no problems now.

Good Luck!

i took them out and swapped them, paying much more attention this time and cant imagine they arent in correct. i havent been able to check how they look from a distance. maybe tonight. oh and to the rest of you who keep answering with "there isnt a seperate fog light adjustment"... i realize that, you must have misunderstood my question. im wondering if they are AIMED in different directions from the factory to avvoid blinding people and thats why the yellow fogs look the way they do, its something you never notice with a stock bulb.
