Sweet thats how I get my cars fly out and drive home. Yours sounds like its gonna be more than a single day trip. I have done as far as 800 miles away in one day, but it was pushing it. Have fun and drive safe!!!

I'm not sure what color he is getting, but there is certainly no shortage of KBP 6mt's right now. There is like 6 of them on cars.com alone.

KC to Florida is gonna be about 1100 miles. Maybe a touch more to Boca Raton.

Either way OP is gonna have a nice trip back. I love taking road trips in the TL. The seats are a slice of heaven. Even after hours and hours of driving.

If you're not already on it, stop by the Kansas City thread under the Midwest tab. There's a great group to TLers here. We'd love to see you new TL. Fast Fridays at KC Trends is another good KC option. Welcome!

Unfortunately, if you are in the market for a 6mt Type S then a plane ticket is damn near mandatory when making a car purchase.

And yes OP I would stay at least one night at the beach there. The gulf coast is amazing and the white sand beaches are incredible.

Roads are shit through Louisianna and the cops are bad there also. If you go over the 14 mile bridge on I-10 watch your speed they pull people over there all the time.

There is a very organized and big group of acura owners in Kansas City so I am sure you won't have too much of a problem getting help and knowledge of taking care of your car.

Just remember to get all the maintenance items done first.
Enjoy your new car.

Well there were a few reason's I decided to buy this car other than my only requirement (5AT). I was just tired of driving a manual transmission (white mustang in the background). Regardless, it had low-miles for my price range and comprehensive warranty for two more years or 100k. I noticed the headlight had condensation after i washed it today, and is covered in the warranty. It's an 07' with 61k miles (1200 of those i put on since Friday at 7pm).

I flew from Kansas City to West Palm Beach, FL and drove it back first thing after purchasing it. My initial plan was to drive as far as I could until I was too tired and get a hotel. Instead....I bought a sirius/xm plan and 5-6 energy drinks and talked myself into skipping the hotel and drive 23hrs straight. I'm still awake, but hardly. It was a fun experience for the first 12 hours into the drive. The last 10 hours was a draaaaaag. So I guess I have been awake for 38.5 hours, oh and had 4 hours of sleep the night before. I feel funny to say the least.

Noob mistake

Plans in order
Polish exhaust tips and remove black paint inside the tips
Paint correction/buff-out scuffs in misc spots and full detail
Have F/R wheel rash refinished
PDR on two small dents (one on the roof and the other above the driver door sill)
Tein S-tech springs
Rear-window spoiler (undecided on style)
Remove amber in headlights and install led switch-back turn signals
HID DRL's
Possibly some sort of exhaust mod (any suggestions?)-looking for something thats not obnoxiously loud...I like the volume that stock G35/7's have.

And remove the side body moulding strips!! It makes the car look 20 times better and it simply peels off. IMO that strip just ruins the profile of the side of the car.
Looks awesome man, that's a serious long drive to get a car. The longest I have done was 8 hours which was a relatively easy day trip there fly there and drive home arriving before midnight.

could be a lot of reasons that the headlight has condensation. could be bad seal, improper bulb seal, etc

Pretty much equal to driving home after having a few beers... A lot of us have done it but not recommended. Glad you made it home safely.

Nice car though
