FlexFuel?

So I'm wondering what it is i'll have to do to convert my car to handle e85.I'm very interested in this due to their being 7 gas stations near me that have e85 now. I found a flex fuel kit module for $399, but i'm wondering if i'll need to have a different ECU or a tune.

OP, have you done any research in converting it to E85?

Are you running on boost or just wanting to convert to get cheaper gas?

Didn't we just go through this exact discussion 2-3 weeks ago?

There is no real point in E85 conversions unless you have the mods that would benefit from it. There are quite a few things you would need to change to make it work reliably in the TL since it was never designed for E85.

E85 requires more fuel per revolution to run the engine and would nessitate larger fuel injectors and fuel pump as well as a custom tune. The cost of those 3 items alone would negate any savings from the cheaper fuel. If you were in Argentina, it would be worth it.

I believe E85 is a bit more corrosive too. Not sure if our fuel lines can handle running e85, or if the fuel would just slowly erode them.
