Fit of the body kit

Went back to the dealer today to check on my order and to check to see what they had in stock.

I took a close look at a TL with the body kit applied and must say that I was not impressed with the fit at all!! I was orginally considering the body kit, but now after seeing it in person I do not think I am going to get it. There were large vidible gaps between the front spoiler and the car. When I tried to push it back to the car the whole spoiler bent like it was made of 4.00 plastic and popped back out again.

Can anyone who has this applied comment on the fit and finish? Was this an isolated bad install?

I also changed my order from NBP to Anthracite..it looked amazing in the sunlight!!

Thanks!

Must have been a bad install. I did mine myself and there are no gaps. It must be 60 degrees farenheit or more at the time of installation for the adhesive to set up correctly. Plus you must apply pressure for 30-60 secs in the proper locations and in the proper order. A patient person can avoid the gaps.

Thanks for the responses, perhaps this was an isolated issue with this one vehicle. I had always been set on the body kit, and then I saw this car and it killed the buzz. Since I know of this dealers workmanship I may have explore a self install.

Did I understand correctly that it is double sided tape that keeps these adhered to the car??

correct. My kit had a gap in the front, so the dealer put a new spoiler on. Even after that, I still wasn`t satisfied with the fit, so I bought the 3M tape and put it where the gaps were still present. Looks good now
