Thumbs up First Impressions of Invisiguard Clear Bra – Great!

I had an Invisiguard Clear Bra installed yesterday and am very impressed. It is almost invisible on my Anthracite TL, except for a fine line across the hood at the edge of the material that is visible only within about 4 feet. You would not even be able to find the material on the rear view mirrors if you didn’t know it was there. When I first looked, I thought that the mirrors weren’t done yet.

I was impressed with Jeremy, who came to my house in the South San Francisco Bay area to install the clear bra. Arriving right on the appointment time, I found him to be very pleasant and professional. His expertise in the installation was very apparent during the 4 hours he spent working on my car. This is definitely NOT a do it yourself project. Jeremy’s company has a plotter that pre-cuts the material for each individual vehicle model, so “all” he had to do was to attach each piece.

This material is only 6 mil thick, but does come with a 5-year warranty. Jeremy said that the thicker material didn’t give that much more protection, and was much more visible when installed. My last car had a ton of paint chips because I drive about 50 freeway miles each day. I felt that the clear bra was worth the investment, especially since the TL has so much flat painted surface on the front of the car.

If you are interested, my “out the door” price was $670 including the headlights. You can contact Invisiguard at invisiguard@sbcglobal.net and I didn’t get anything for this endorsement. I spent the time writing it only because I am so pleased with the end result.

What? invisible bra? It sould look nice. Maybe you could take some pics from different angles. I'm looking for something to protect my paint finish while high speed driving on the highway.

Would you mind telling us how much it cost, too? I'm looking for something to protect my paint finish while high speed driving on the highway.

Do you mind giving us some pics if possible? Thanx.

I have seen some chips on my engine hood. That's why I'm looking for some good-look protection.

Hey, thanks for the kind words Jim!

I didnt get a chance to take any pics of Jims install, but we will be doing another TL next Saturday and I will be sure to get some pics then, heres a sample of the amount of coverage we have for the TL, it is one of the largest kits we install and wraps the bumper wheel to wheel. If anyone has any other questions about paint protection film feel free to drop us a line!

Also, click on our gallery to the left to see some pics of installs we've dome recently

I've got one, how much would you charge for driving out to Houston?

Seriously, do you have any friends out this way that you would recommend to do an install?

It's is obviously a great protection device ,but it is obvious especially on the hood ...... maybe if it wrapped underneath the front by the base of the windshield ? I mean the line across the hood is very distracting ...I know it's better then the other options ,but really if it went all the way up to the front of hood and folded under you would not SEE the lines. it be much better .

Is this something you could peel off in 6 years and re-apply if it gets really damaged?

Its meant to be a permanent install but it can be removed at any time with no damage to the paint, though is kept waxed it should look great for as long as you keep your car.

The film comes in 12/18/24" rolls, so any full hood coverage would be in multiple pieces, and its been our experience that the seams of a multiple piece hood install are far more visualy obtrusive than the singe edge of a one piece hood.

heh, we ll its definitely not for everyone, just people who dont want to drive around with a sandblasted front end. The design of the TLs bumper is basicaly a vertical wall of paint that stretches down to the ground, and it will absorb every rock and piece of debris on the road.

In So Cal get a hold of Edre and Daniel at Envisage Design Labs(http://www.envisagedesignlabs.com/ ), they do excellent work and are very reasonably priced, tell them Jeremy from Invisiguard sent you, they'll take care of you!
