Finding Internet Mgr. at Dealers and bids
Hi All - Very new to this board and excited to read all the great info here. I'm lookign to buy a new 06 TL with Navi in the next few weeks to try and take advantage of the 07 coming out. I've gottten info on the dealers here in NJ, but I'm not sure how to go about makign the initial contact. Are you guys faxing or doing it all through email? Do you just send an email to the general contact email listed on their websites? I haven't found any dealers that list an email address for the internet sales manager. In your initial communciation, after you describe what you want car wise, are you indicating your bid price or just asking them to respond with their best offers?
Appreciate any help out there. Also, is there a general thread to help me get up to speed on the acronyms such as "TTL"? I don't want to bother you guys with this as everyone seems to know but me. Haven't bought a car in 10 years and its much different process now. Thanks!

Three Wheelin'
TTL = Tax Title License
I think its better to call them and put whatever important facts into the email afterward that way all the confusion will be avoided, and you will also have a hard copy if they try to change the deal.

I've done all my contacting/sales inquiry via email. I email every dealership within a certain radius (my case, 150 miles) and make contact with the internet sales manager or sales manager. I'm very specific with the type of car I want and the terms of the lease that I want. I ask for specific things in return: cap cost, residual, money factor, etc... and I use the same lease deal and car configuration for every dealership (apples to apples).
I keep everything in an email or written/fax format so I can hand it to the sales manager should something come up unexpectedly.
