finally i got my TL back after my accident. its been 3 months since it happened but the insurance people kept trying to not cover it. but luckily that ended in my favor. boy did i miss this car!!! getting back into felt almost as good as the first, and to hear the engine tone again is great. now i can finally get tints and the change to the leds. oh btw is the new "9 leds" too bright or how do they compare with the 6 leds

 

What sort of work had to be done to your car? Any noticeable differences? I don't recall the specifics of your accident, unfortunately, so the more details the better!

 

Well i was involve in a semi-serious accident, and btw the TL i know is ranked as one of the best crash test cars but being involved (unfortunately) firsthand it is well built. My car's pssenger corner, between the headlight and tire area, hit smack in the middle of a pontiac grand am (most likely 98 model year). I collided with this car because the place where i was making a left hand turn is at the top of a hill and i didnt notice any car coming but when i turned, all i remember is like an instant bang. The airbags popped and everything but i didnt get hurt and i dont even think i ever hit the airbag since i was going like 8 mph and the other car was coming up at least 50 mph. Even though the collision was pretty hard, my TL didnt suffer hardly any engine damage while the other car was pretty totaled. Luckily my dad's friend is really good at car body work so we were able to get it fixed from him. He replaced the front bumper, side fenders, and hood, and also some of the containers under the hood like washer fluid container. (I have a picture he took when he took the engine out, but need help putting it up.) I did noticed that this actually might be better for the car because now it has a lifetime warranty on the paint job and i noticed that where the front bumper and side fenders meet, right below where your headlight is, it now fits perfectly and smoothly since before i noticed the front bumper part kind of stuck out on both sides.
