Yea I know Jon. I'm pretty pissed that this is coming out of my pocket, especially when I've been saving for the front A-Spec lip and other things. I'll figure out exactly is going on with insurance and such from my parents tonight and post it up here.

And I really do plan on coming to C&C next weekend. It all depends on the weather.

Your insurance is gay.. When the deer decided it wanted to play chicken with my car, I payed nothing out of pocket.. The bill was like $6800. Plus my insurance didn't go up. Matter of fact, it went down this quarter by $150..

Well look who found his way back to Acurazine

Yea I don't really understand exactly what's going on with the whole insurance thing. I'll talk to my dad and see what he has to say about it. All I know is that I'm paying for this shit with money I was going to use for the front lip

Yea I'm back.. You know you missed me.

My insurance agent filed my stuff under a comp claim, that's why it didn't cost me anything.

Some wax and elbow grease can do wonders, depending on the scratch.

Actually I didn't because the last few times I've seen you, we've been in a cold ass garage ripping parts off of my car. Hopefully none of that will be happening anytime soon.

Well actually I got an air ride system. Trying to help me install it?

I just woke up, but I'll ask my dad exactly what's going on. I'm pretty confused to say the least.

Welcome to Acurazine

I usually break out a clay bar and see what I can do with that. Get some good polish as well. Hopefully the scratch isn't too deep in the paint.

Shit I wish it was

If the bumper was only getting stripped down and repainted, I would have it back today. Since they had to order a new one, it's going to be a day or two behind schedule.

The shop is being mad cool about it so I don't really mind.

Btw I love your car. I can't wait to get a black roof

I got the car back this afternoon

The brand new bumper looks SICK. They repainted my grill for me as well. I'll have some pictures up tomorrow.

And yes I got my stock bumper back. Just wait and see what I've done with it

Okay I couldn't wait to post pictures

I'm really happy with my new front bumper. The best thing about it is that there aren't any rock chips! It's as smooth as a baby's ass

And one more just to whore out my A-Spec kit and drop...

Thanks man! I know WDP is a bitch to colormatch, but the job did an AMAZING job. I'm really impressed.

And I hate the damn pinstripe I'll be taking that off as soon as possible.

Good deal. Keep us posted.

Have you considered adding a layer of clear bra to keep the painted grilles protected?

And no I haven't, but that's an excellent idea! Any idea how much that would run?

Oh, snap! I got lost somewhere along the way... When did u pick-up the A-spec kit (sans front lip) and have it installed? I quickly browsed through this thread and didn't see any mention of this. Anyway, good for you! Your car is making quick progress, my friend. Where the hell is the front lip anyway?! When's the black roof coming? Fortunately, that one isn't a very expensive mod. I decided against doing mine and opted to put the money towards customized tails and headlamps. Tails are being done next week, and the headlamps... well, JnC's list is about a mile long, so not sure when I'll see those. My TL is just about at v2.0 Final. w00t!

Thanks man! Hopefully I'll have the front lip on within the next week or so. Black roof is going to wait, but not for too long. My birthday is coming up so hopefully my family will be generous with monetary contributions

I got the rear and side A-Spec kit last weekend or the weekend before that. There was a local member who was parting out his car. He had an 07 so I wasn't able to get the front lip, but we swapped sides and the rear kit. Since I purchased those seperately, I have to buy the lip new, which I haven't gotten around to yet.

The black roof is on the to-do list, but I'm not in a huge rush to do it. I've added so much to my car in the last 6 months that I don't want to do everything now and then get bored of my car.

And I'm looking forward to seeing your headlights and taillights! I'm going to have the taillight guy do a set for me eventually, 07-08 base all blacked out. I think it would give me a nice contrast of black and white to tie in with the rest of my car. How about you get rid of those stockies that you adore?

Haha you right. I just haven't gotten around to it. I don't know anybody that has a heat gun, I don't think a hairdryer will do the trick.

Not sure since it's custom. Should be easy to DIY it though.

Wha?! Are u out of your tree? gtfo!

For real tho... As much as I love the Enkei-designed OEM wheels, I admit it would be nice to have a summer wheel package just to mix things up. I've been silently looking out for an inexpensive option, including some used A-spec wheels, but it really isn't in the household budget. Oh, hell. Neither are the headlights and tails. Someday down the road, maybe in a couple years.

I knew you would get riled up about that.

I absolutely love the stock wheels as well. I'm not a fan of the 07-08 base or Type-S wheels whatsoever. Even if I get new wheels eventually, I'll always keep my A-Specs. They are a classy wheel that I'll never get sick of.

And most of the shit on my car I can't really afford, but that's just life isn't it?

OH MY FUCK

My car got bumped again. Must have happened last night when I was at a friends apartment. My brand new bumper had black paint on it.

Luckily I got out my trusted bottle of Scratch Out and got out all of the paint. It's all gone but if you rub your finger over the area, you can tell the clear coat is messed up.

I seriously have the worst luck in the world.

Yea tell me about it.

I usually park in the middle of nowhere, especially when I go to the mall and such. When the damage first happened with the original pictures, I was parked in the middle of nowhere. There wasn't a car parked around me for 4 spots in either direction

I think I just need to buy a tank or something so people can hit me all they want and I won't incur any damage
