Finally driving a TL...
Hello all,
I have been following this forum for about a year since the 3rd generations came out. I immediatley knew when I read about the redesigned TL that it was going to be my next car, and now I have finally purchased one! I am the proud owner of a 2005 SSM/Ebony/5AT/Navi. All of my patience has paid off, now my only complaint is that my 25 minute commute to work is TOO SHORT! I was told that I had the first 2005 TL in Buffalo, NY (perhaps the dealer was just feeding me a line, who knows) but are there any other owners in the Western NY area? Anyway, I just wanted to say hi, and share my excitement.

Congrats, and welcome to the ownership experience. I just got mine a week ago and am finding it to be a learning exercize...but a fun one. I thoroughly enjoy the car except for the tires flatspotting, but then I have Bridgestones and you probably have the Michelins which are less problematical.

I was in exactly the same boat as you. As soon as I saw the redesign I knew that the 3rd gen would be next car. I finally picked up my new TL last week!!!

Hi Acura-Too-Loud,
Welcome and enjoy your new TL! Although I live in the Columbus, OH area, I'm originally from the Buffalo area (Hamburg) and will be up there on the 22nd - 24th of this month. Maybe I'll see you!!We have very similar TLs.

Thanks for the kind welcoming. I will keep an eye out for the flat spotting issues, but I do have the Michelins so I am hoping to avoid that problem. Srhewes, unfortunately I won't be in Buffalo that weekend, I will be taking a trip to Rochester, but let me know when you are up this way again.

2K2SilverTL-S it looks like you wished me luck a little late. I got rear ended going to dinner last night! I only had 50 miles on the car when it got hit, is that some kind of a record? Are there any other unfortunate 2005 owners who have been in an accident? Luckily, the damage was very small and it will all be fixed by Thursday. Other than that I am really enjoying driving the car and learning how to use all the features.
