Liquid Metal
Dang, that black looks sweet! Makes me wish I had bought a red or black car as opposed to Anthracite. It seems like the Zaino works best on these colors. Wow, I still can't get over how that looks like suspended black liquid!
Has anyone used Zaino on the Anthracite?

rkilian,
were you a little nervous about getting the clear bra installed?
I had one put on my 03 Navigator down in S.D. and was not real happy with the finished product, there were little air bubbles in it that never went away! bummer. Although, theres no chips in the paint either. How did yours turn out? did you get the headlight covers too? would you recommend sheeld, I mean are they a quality shop and all?
Oh, and your TL is the Sh#!!!!

If you or I look at the clearbra with a fine tooth comb at 4-6 inches, you will notice stretch marks were they anchored the film and stretched it to get rid of creases. Is it invisible to me?, NO. is it invisible to average joe walking down the street? YES. I have to tell everyone it's there for them to notice it. Much more noticeable when dirty.
I regularly drive between 150-200 miles (2-4 times a week) in freeways littered with gravel and trucks. I can honestly tell you that if it hadn't been for the clear-bra, my car would now have a significant amount of damage. I'm amazed at how well the product stands up to sand and gravel abuse. There was a mark from a stone hit that actually broke apart in the hood. came right out during the wash.
The product is not as reflective as the original paint and reflections get distorted in it. So if you're looking for it, you will find it.
As far as sheeld. They did a really good job on my car. They had to replace the hood and both fenders because I complained about bubbles. No problem.
They (Two brothers) don't have a shop of their own, they borrow a shop from a window tint place in Santa Ana. I was somewhat scared at first but very please when it all ended.
I would recommend them. I would also check out A tint of Class in Fountain Valley, John told me he was in the process of getting the plotter to precut the film.

rikillian,
We share the same color vehicle. Is there any way, if you have spare time that you could maybe shoot a picture of the hood (looking down on it) or front of the car so we can see how "bad" the distortion is? I'm nervous about putting one on with the black vehicle, but at the same time, I'm nervous about NOT putting one on with a black vehicle. I had a black Max that had a front end that looked like it had been through a blender and been sand blasted in the nearly-7 years I owned it.

rkilian,
did you happen to notice if they did any cutting to the material after it was installed on the vehicle, or were the patterns pretty precise?
when I had my gator done they did some trimming with an exacto type knife and that was a little scary....

moregrip: They did 1 cut and it was at the interface of the front underbody spoiler and the bumper; the product doesn't come precut for the spoiler.
All other places, the kit was precut and matched quite nicely.
Again, they have to stretch the material quite a bit for the creases to disappear, this also makes all the edges match up.
Rocketsfan:
I will take some more pictures this weekend and post them so that you can see the reflection properties of the clearbra.
