Finally bit the bullet and got my black/black navi 6 spd
Hi all,
I'm new here and just thought I'd say hi to everyone.
A little history.... I started out as a GM car guy. Finally got sick of the problems in the late 90's. Bought an Integra, and it was a fantastic car. After a few years, I upgraded to a 2001 CL-P. Once again, awesome car with no problems. However, it was just shy of turning 100k and even though I never had a transmission issue with it, I was worried about it.
So began my quest for yet another black Acura. It would have to be a TL. I don't have to commute so I figured a 6 speed would be fine. Also, I figured might have better odds in the transmission area by sticking with a manual.
After checking the internet for months, I finally found one local. It was a certified car at one of my local Acura dealers. Fortunately it was at the dealer who is much more fair with his prices from the get go.
So after some negotiating, I walked out with an '05 black on black TL with 6 speed and navigation. I think they were a little anxious to get rid of it because of the manual. The windows are tinted and there is a visor in front of the sunroof. Both things I definately wanted.
As it stands now, the suspension in this car is crazy tight. It also has some agressive performance tires on it. I'm sure that just switching to some touring tires will turn it down just enough to fit my liking.
Nice job Acura. I'm sure we have this car to thank for the new Nissan G35, and the upcoming Cadillac CTS. I'm sure the '09 TL will once again reset the bar for this category of vehicle.
Thanks, all.

Welcome to the club.
Check the color of your shocks. Stock and A-Spec shocks and springs are black. If they are another color they've been swapped out and might be adjustable.

As a die-hard NBP/Ebony 06 6MT TL owner and fan, let me be one of the first to say...
W-E-L-C-O-M-E!!!!
By the way, your car will never be the same...because you are going to mod it...don't fight the disease...just roll with it...it will go away...when you are about 70...but I digress...
NBP still rules...

I totally agree with darksom1. Welcome to the site, and by the time you're six months into ownership I guarantee you will have modded something other than the tint and visor, which were done for you by the previous owner.
