A few questions

I am thinking about getting an 08 TLType S and I was wondering if there were any major or minor complaints that anyone has about the car? How do you like it? If you have a 2007 how is everything holding up on the car? Do you have any anoying rattles or anything like that?

I am still on the fence between the TL Type S, Lexus IS350, and Infiniti G35. I need to make a decision soon.

Thanks,
Mike

My vote wold be type-s for sure .... i suggest you test drive all of the above three & then compare prices for the desired options being added on. That way you can compare apples to apples .... (seriously though, can't go wrong with either one of these three .. but I chose type-s becuase of the overall luxury, performance, reliablity, and the looks)

Good luck !

I just passed the 1000 mile mark on my '08 Type S!

Gripes:

1) Turning radius could be better

2) Stereo could be a touch more powerful

3) I'm an old fart and it will take a long time for me to learn how to
use all the electronic gadgets!

Still, it's an awesome automobile and I have no major complaints!

I have an '07 TL-S and honestly don't hear the rattles that a few others complain about. And I've really tried to listen for them. I'm fairly tall, and didn't care for the headroom in Lexus, and we didn't have an Infiniti dealer here. Test-drove them all, including BMW, which I used to love; but couldn't drive the Infiniti since there's no dealership here, and kept coming back to the TL-S. Also tried the Toyota products. Final decision was based on wanting something with similar control, safety, driving experience-(fun)--to my old BMW, more interior comfort, more power. Just love it.

'07 TL-S. About 9 months old.

Best car I've ever owned. Period.

One or two minor problems. No rattles, no problems with rear dampers. Had to have the driver side seat back re-attached, but it was no biggie.

Only on-going concern is occasional pinging. As far as I know no '08 TL-S's have had the same problem. ECU/Fuel Maps were probably tweaked to correct the problem for 2008.
