Fender bender in my NBP Type S

So this one girl hit me today and it was her fault. I called the police and he wrote the police report and said it was her fault. Look like I have some damage on my fender and a little on the bumper. Wanted to know what you guys thought. She has good insurance. Should I file a claim? Are they going to replace the fender / bumper? there are scratches on both but I heard that acura doesn't make the paint anymore to match the rest of my car. the rest of my car is flawless and I was pissed.

Here are a few pictures:

call your insurance and inform them.

dont be pissed, its very minor damage than can be fixed and it will look as good as new.

don't worry, all the repainted/repaired cars on the road DO NOT have "acura's paint" (lol) and it matches fine, depending on the shop.

Zubi...get it fixed, from the picture it looks like repair the bumper and new fender, body shops don't buy the paint from Acura anyway, they have their paint supplier mix it up. Did the cop give the cutie girl a ticket for inattentive backing, cuz he should have?

Paint is always mixed from the color codes anyways. It's just a paint code that is mixed by any number of manufacturers such as PPG or others to get the paint.

The infamous TL bumper mismatch is only for the lighter colors like white, silver, and gray. I have never seen an obvious mismatch on the black ones. I think black is probably the easiest color to blend

this makes sense because my kbp the bumpers were slightly off when i got it! when i put the lip kit on after i really noticed the difference in paint b/w the body and the bumpers and the lip kit but only when i starred at it directly in sunlight only bc as ive said im anal when it comes to my cars! lol i also attributed this to wear and tear and sunlight exposure etc. that or the last owner had it painted

Update: I went to the allstate body repair shop and the adjuster gave me an estimate of approximately a grand, which I think is a little less because I was expecting them to replace the bumper and fender but he said everything is fixable and they'll just take it out and fix all the scratches and put it back in shape..i was hoping they would give me a better estimate

They are scratches, so no need for replacement; unless the bumper and/or rear panel is crack or unfixable beyond repair.

that really doesnt mean anything to you, because you dont have to pay for the damages that have occurred. you're only responsible for the deductible

I hope your deductible is $500.
then, all you do is pay $ 500 no matter how much the damage is.

unfortunately, if your deductible is $1000, then you'll have to pony that up regardless if the damage is less than a grand.

IIRC OP should get his deductible back since the other insurance company is paying for everything. I was in a similar situation a few years ago and my deductible was reimbursed.

He got hit Justin...he doesn't have to pay, the cute girl is responsible. Zubi, if you don't like the estimate get one through your insurance company or take it to a couple independent shops and see what they estimate. Then you would have some leverage to get it fixed right if the Allstate estimate is off.

I'm sure she feels terrible. Nobody sets out to make their insurance premium a new high score.
