Fellow acurazine member?
I bet everybody on here myself included, has driven by another TL and wondered if the guy/woman driving the car was a fellow acurazine member. Maybe he/she had just helped you out or given you a good recommendation on something a few hours earlier. However, there is no way of knowing who and if the other driver is a part of the acurazine community. We should try to come up with a system, maybe split up into states or something where we could identify that other person

Dunno.....while I think it's a good idea....I'm willing to bet those of us who frequent Acurazine are VERY much in the minority of TL owners...most of them wouldn't know what was going on. It's still frustrating to me that so many TL drivers don't even acknowledge another TL driver....much less smile/wave, etc.

I'm going to put a tasteful Acurazine "sticker" in the back on the glass when the time comes.

Why not use a static sticker like the ones at jiffylube. You could place it on the inside of the rear glass and you can remoove it easly when you need to. I would pay a buck or two for one if someone made them.

No offense to you guys .. but no way am I putting anything "on" the car .. I wouldn't let the dealer do it to my TL I'm not doing it either ... the window sticker isn't a bad idea, but I have tints and doubt that it would show. How about a secret handshake or something .. (flip 'em off with the left hand if they flip back leftie you know they're on the site )

When I first bought an Acura MDX in 2001 and joined the MDX forum, we could purchase www.acuramdx.org stickers for the rear hatch window or wherever. They were tasteful, small and had silver letters on a clear background. I'm not a fan of stuck-on stuff on any of my cars but that one worked for me.

I think the clear window sticker is a good idea. I did get a "thumbs up" from a dude in a black tl sometime around August. He was merging with me at the 202 and 422 exchanges in PA. I appreciated it.

I believe soopa is working on that type of merch for our site. I'd put on a tasteful "acurazine" sticker on my car....and I'm not someone to put stickers on my car.

Ok this may sound wired. When I see someone in one I honk and wave or like at the gas station I'm yell "Nice Car!" but it would nice to have some sort of symbol like a plate frame or something to hang from the mirror. I dont know about buperstickers (i wouldnt put one on mine) but something along those lines. Maybe we could come up with a Acura Zine line of rims that you could only get if you were a member.

Would any one object to a silver decal with dark blue letters spelling out "A-ZINE"? Possibly oval in shape that could be affixed to the rear windshield in one of the top corners? It would be a universal sticker used for folks here on the TL board and the others as well. (Cut down on cost).

Except for photos, I never personally saw the sticker on another MDX, but those were the early days (first generation MDX) and there weren't many on the road even in Los Angeles. There were many stickers bought nationwide from what I read.

Why don't you have a dye cut sticker made up with AcuraZine.com (just like it is in the header of this page + .com) in white, silver, and/or reflective silver approximately 7 inches long.

I found a link to a photo of the stickers that were produced for the mdx forum members: http://www.acuramdx.org/stickers.php
The intent of these stickers were to get other owners to visit the MDX forum and join in the fun. They also had business cards printed up that said "you've been org'd" and were intended to be placed on fellow owner's windows to encourage them to look up the internet site.

I think a license plate frame is a good choice. Since many owners have tinted windows, the window sticker may not be noticable. If they did a classy rendition of the LP frame, I'd do that.
