i have a 2004 acura tl with AEM CAI and a Greedy EVO-2 exhaust and a 75 shot of ZEX nos

the guy that wants to race me has a 2005 altima SE-R with full exhaust and prolly a CAI


i need to know which is faster

 

The shot of NOS should put you across the finish line I believe. Sounds like you should be able to hang with him, then punch the NOS about 250 yards before the finish line and smoke him.

 

well i have seen his SE-R run thats all i know it has i know it doesnt have a turbo or super charger and he doesnt have NOS but who knows we are going to race at the strip tonight

 

Check the "Racing and Competition" sub-forum. They love these questions.

 

Give me the power to weight ratios of both cars in their current state and then give me the gearing ratios for both cars and transmission types and I can tell you who should win on paper. But ultimately its probably a drivers race.

even without the nos you could stay with him and even beat him if you out drive him.

oh you have a MT correct? His car will run probably like 14.3 - 14.2 at best.

You should be in the 13's with a 75 shot and should be able to beat him if you use it.

 

There are a couple threads about SE-R altimas versus the TL and the TL would beat an AT SE-R. A SE-R Altima isn't that fast or at least not much faster than the base altimas due to the added weight.

 

with a 75 shot you will beat him easily no question about it. Not really a fair race IMO.

 

well i mean i just started takeing my car to the strip and i had like a 50 shot on it befor im going to up it to 75 shot today so we will see cause im raceing him tonight ill let u guys know how it turned out

If you look at the time he posted before the race and after... you'd realize he wa sprobably joking. 4:07 pm-6:47 PM.. he probably didn't even race yet.

 

nah i used my nos and my time was 13.7 im not sure what his was but it was around 14 but anyways we are going to race again on the street prolly friday

 

and since when is 2 hours and 45 minutes not enough time to go 15 miles and then sign in and race then come back ???
