Question Fastbrake BBK's or Rotors and pads

I'm debating if I should just get the Fastbrake BBK's for my car, or get slotted rotors and new pads.

Any opinions? Anyone have the Fastbrake BBK's? Looks like there's an additional 10% off the sale price going on right now until 11/30th.

what do you have now- the single piston caliper on the auto trans or the 4 piston brembo on 6 speed car

For the brembos check out racingbrake brand from vendor MrHeelToe
Awesome rotors with matched pads

If you have a single caliper setup now- a 4 or 6 piston caliper will be a huge reduction in stopping distance- Wilwood are popular and well priced- see Excelerate

Remember with BBks you may have wheel-rim clearance issues and steering parts are different to allow larger rotor diameter

That's is a completely false statement. Multi piston calipers do not shorten braking distance. If your hitting the ABS, then your current brakes have more than enough clamping force to overpower the tires. As a matter of fact, it's not uncommon to increase braking distance by bolting on an aftermarket BBK's due to a large alteration in brake bias that the ABS system cannot account for.

Fixed multi-piston calipers serve to stiffen the pedal (due to less flex) as well as even out the wear of the brake pads under extreme duty (different size pistons cause different amounts of pressure along the pad).

Remember, it's the tires that stop the car, not the brakes.

94- thats not correct, but please believe what you want~

Real Drivers dont use ABS- only morons behind the wheel would in dry straight ahead situations!!
Its made for `Stomp and Steer` in slippery conditions and making a sudden turn to avoid an accident ahead
where average drivers would lock the wheels and spin out~

Pad wear? dont get me started
how many street car brake jobs and race cars have you worked with?

things invovled in braking; shocks abilty to resit weight transfer nose dive, tires abilty to grip surface, rotor abilty to dissapate heat, pads friction component/coefficient to rotor, and clamping power of the calipers in order to generate brake torque or stopping force

I have a Front BBK kit up my sleeve for my '05 Auto and lets just say it's going to be OEM quality. Oh and it's not the TL-S Brembos or Legends. Will post pictures/results when it's all installed...

Will be using EBC Yellowstuff and Racing Brake Rotors. '01tl4tl'...I think you know what I'm talking about.

We all know your a BBK fanboy. You have been since I've been around these forums (I remember all the Rotora BS). I love them as much as the next guy, but the fact is big calipers or rotors alone do not shorten stopping distance. They never will. Adjustable brake bias systems do that (by increasing the work of the rear tires to the limit of stability). Maybe you should go work on some more "racecars"..

IF YOU ARE CAPABLE OF LOCKING UP YOUR WHEELS (or hitting the ABS), YOU ALREADY HAVE ALL THE "clamping power of the calipers in order to generate brake torque or stopping force" THAT YOUR TIRES CAN HANDLE!!!

I would love to hear your explanation of how ADDING more brake torque can slow you quicker when your tires are already fully loaded (ABS or not)...
