I finally took off my front plate this weekend and within 2 hours I got pulled over twice(no tickets). I told the second cop I'll do it when I get home and he said "no I got time" so I had to put I on, on the side of the road.(embarrassing)


next so the tl-s owners know, the front turn signal is not 7443 its a 1157 bulb. This was the last led I needed to be complete If someone needs the 7443 27 led, check the black market



just wanted to rant I'm more pissed off about the plate though.(looked so sexy even without the plugs)

I could tell you crazy stories about my old VW with german replica plates with the NJ tags over them and the cop tried to get me for factious plates..and then took them off my car for the court case he was making against me lol

at least I didn't get ticket's,that was my main concern. you can be a dick as long as I don't get written up. It was fun for the 2 hours.

Everyone tells me to chuck my front plate too and I am so tempted to sometimes. On my old car I had no front plate for years and never had a problem. That was an older car and my prepared explanation is that I had the car before the time front plates were required in CT. (not really a valid escuse, but a good attempt). Of course it won't even apply to a much newer TL.

I never have because I don't want to deal with it. I can talk to a cop and try to get off but if my wife gets pulled over it'll be a definite ticket and she'll be hassled for something she didn't do. Not worth it.

This is exactly why I decided to just put the stupid thing on.. I hate it, but it's better than getting pulled over for nonsense like that. I also want to tint the front driver/pass windows too but I just don't want to deal with the hassle.

East coast seems a lot more strict than the area I live in .. wow.

I've had my front plate off for roughly 7 months and I've been pulled over once ... I have my front plates in my trunk at all times to try and get out of a ticket haha.

That sucks, I've been without a front plate for 3+ years on my TSX and TL and never been pulled over for it. You would honestly think that the cops would have more important things to do, especially in New Jersey!

no worries first time i did strobes in the rear i got pulled over cuz dude was like why is ur tail light out?? its an acura thats not supposed to be like that...im like "oh shit man I just had the bumper off and unplugged the taillights....hes like oh yea? plug it in lets see. i spent like 10 mins ripping apart the liner to plug it back in.pretty embarrassing with 3 girls in the car. shit happens

i think what im gona do is take off the front plate, il go to like an auto store and buy a cheap bracket and keep the receipt. if i get pulled over i can be like sry but someone reversed into me and crushed my old bracket recently, i have the receipt for the new one just havent installed it yet. <- that along with a few PBA cards should work ..that also would be an excuse to keep ur front plate in your front window also

pete youll get tix regardless of being in the car or not..... i had that happen to me with another car when i was younger and i tookt he tickets to court n showed the judge the car that hit me ( i took pics) and hes like ok u stil have to pay but not all of them half of them....2 tickets i had gotten parked on austin and others driving on crossbay.

I was gonna try to do a switchback sidemarker, but the totaled tl my guy had at his shop went to the "yard in the sky" before I could rip them out. I'm prob not gonna try anyime soon now that I have to buy the markers so I figured just get amber to match for now....
