Factory Fog Light Bulb Removal ***HELP***

I am in the middle of replacing the fog light bulbs and am in dire need of some assistance. I have removed the cowel, and the wiring harness, but the stock bulb will not budge. Is this a screw off? Is there a special trick to removing these bulbs?

Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated as I dont want to force the removal and break something!!

Twist the lamp 45 degrees counterclockwise, then pull it out. Many times these lamps' gaskets get "frozen" to their seats. You might have to work it back and forth a bit to loosen it initially.

Good luck.

It’s the lamp you need to turn. I thought I felt a ring and tried turning that until I was blue in the face.

Thanks for the responses! I was giving the lamp a very serious twist and it didn't budge. I will put some more elbow grease into it and yank them out!!

Be careful, though. you don't want to bust the lamp's glass (cuts, etc). Also, I assume you know that you are NOT supposed to touch the glass of the lamp whenever you handle it. This can cause the glass to bubble up and burst (I used to be in the wholesale electrical business as a lighting consultant years ago).

I had a hell of a time getting mine off. But, they will come off by twisting counterclockwise.
