Factory changes to MT in 05, 06, 07?

There were a lot of recorded complaints about the difficulty to shift the manual in 04 and possibly 05. Does any one know if there were any changes made to the transmission in 05 or 06 to help alleviate the problem?

Based on the posts I've seen there has been nothing of any significance (meaning if they did change things it didn't do anything) done to the MT. Even owners of the TL-S 6MT report the 3rd gear issue.

To date the most popular thing to do is change the MTF to GM Synchromesh Friction Modified. Lots of debate over if you should have to do that but little debate about whether it works.

I have an '04 manual TL had have never had so much as a hint of a problem in this area. Most complaints center around shifting into third gear and popping out of gear. The majority of those on this site reporting the problem have managed to alleviate this with a drain and fill of the GM Synchromesh Friction Modified transmission fluid. I did this change myself about 2 1/2 years ago, not because of any shifting problems, but because the fluid should be changed from time to time.

Mine has been a gem and yes, I am the originial owner.

Apparently not, my '07 TL-S and my daughter's '07 Accord EXL V6MT both have the 3rd gear problem. Both the Honda and Acura dealer said Honda had a new fluid and replaced the original fill. It helped for a while, but they're both back to being hard to get into 3rd. Next time it's going to be the GM fluid.
