Anyone know the 0-60 of the '06 F350 Truck. This piece of junk almost beat my '04 man TL from a standing start.

dont know what the exact numbers are but my dad has an 04 diesel f350 and for a truck that things got some sick low end tourque and the pickup is pretty unblievable. Not fast enough to take a tl though, hell i dont think it woulda taken my 04 grand prix. Truck musta been modded.

Let me tell you.. I was approaching the lights and he came flying up behind me.. I thought he was a jackass.. and yes i was.. So I thought I'd just torch him at the the lights.. We both set off and he was off.. I cuaght him, but i was doing 80 by that time.. I've done some research and I think the V10 6.3L 0-60 is 5.8sec.. damn that is fast..!!! Time for a supercharger..?? haha

And I would hate to be anywhere near that thing when it launches with all that smoke.

EDIT: I would guess it's a turbo diesel judging by the smoke.

Those turbo diesels can put out close to 1000 tq with a bully dog system. Those things can spin there tires in 4th gear. you underestimate the power of the turbo diesel!

Those turbo diesels stock are no joke, if one catches you sleepin be careful. I have a few Bullydog modded diesels in my area, I don't even try to mess with them, I seen one race and rode in one, they'll embarass you

diesels have sick lwo end power. I was on rocky mountain twisties and this Diesel pick up pulling trailer outran gas pickup pulling trailer on uphill.

you can get a reprogrammer for those trucks that adds 450hp an 300torque to the stock 3-400 hp and torque.... Mind you they are heavy as heck, stock for stock you'll take him, but there's stupid modding potential in those engines..

Stock for stock you should beat him relatively easily, I thought. But I have heard all about the potential in those engines.

the bullydog power module adds up to 172hp and around 300tq extra. that is a shit load more power from a friggin chip. Man I wish they made a chip for the TL that would do 1/4 of that.

yeah, i made the mistake of racing a chic in an F250 turbo diesel once when i used to have an extensively modded taurus SHO (it was pretty fast). she definitely gave me a run for the money.

I hve a friend up north that has a f350 diesel that runs low 13's. the thing is a monster and hes only stuck about 2500-3k into it to do that

Up here in Alberta we have the Oil patch, so every second vehicle is a turbo diesel truck, and half of those are lifted with big wheel/tire combos that will blow the doors off unsuspecting stop light racers.

Just to give an idea, stock F350 diesel ran with my old V6 mustnag convertible and we were toe to toe up to 60MPH

There's a guy about my age he farms and has like a 03 or 04 dually extended cab 4x4 F-350. he's done about everything to that powerstroke. He's put on bigger turbo,bigger injectors, new chip, propane conversion, tons of other B.S like exhaust. I know he's as fast as a current mustang GT.
we had 10 ton behind it before and he smoke the tires because he had so much power.

the first mustang I got was a '99 V6, I was waxed by a 00' Chevy Impala. I traded my V6 for a '01 V8 GT. No comparison.

a couple of years ago, before the whole diesel thing took off i was at sears point with my friends watching the friday night runs. a dodge diesel truck, maybe late '90 sytle, up aganist a zo6 well, that for some reason was the match to watch. you could hear a box of pins drop. long story short the dodge beat the z06 at 11.2- 11.4 on mud boggers....you can't be sure what they have done to the truck...
