Quick Question for the exhaust experts:

I can get an XLR8 base exhaust for a great deal but I want the quad tips on the back to keep it looking stock (TL-S)

Would it be possible to cut the tips off the base exhaust and have dual tips welded on? Would they stick out further than they should?
