Does anyone know if there is a way to tell what the exact build date of our TL are? Is the info embedded in the VIN?

You can also check the sticker on the lower portion of the center pillar. The first line has a statement saying Manufactured by Honda of America MFG followed by a date (month/year) indicating when the car was built. The VIN gives you other specifics but not the actual date of the build. There was a post about this back in 04 and mentioned the build date was on the original dealer's invoice.

 

Thanks for the fast response guys. I just went and looked at my car's build date.... my car was built on June 06, 2006. 6-6-6! That explains a lot!

 

LOL! I bought my TL on June 5, 2006....and the TL roadside assistance card says that my purchase date was 06/06/06....hahaha..i was scared tooo!

 

Of the 3 WDP TL-S's on the dealers lot, one was Stock Number 666. I told them I'll take either of the other 2.

The Salesperson said no one even wanted to demo Stock Number 666.
