Estimate for repair, $100? $200?

My three month old TL got a 0.5 inch long scratch on the rear bumper. It is not so bad at all except the paint on the plastic bumper had a visible scratch (obviously the surface around the wound is not smooth anymore). If I opt to repair it, does this mean that they have to repaint the whole thing? If not, do you guys know how much a dealer would charge?

Well, it was bound to happen as there are many incosiderate drivers around DC. I will be fine tomorrow I guess.

Thanks.

depends if you choose to repaint the whole thing it will be around 3-4 hundred bucks done right. if the scratch isn't too bad then they can strip the clearcoat and buff it out and respray the clearcoat. this will probably cost between 1-2 hundred bucks. the only thing about a respray is color matching. because its the bumper it has a flex agent in it and sometimes it could be hard to match.
