Engine splash guard?
Hello everyone, just recently purchased and 07 tl type s 6 speed in the wdp color and im extremely happy with the car. One question sonce im still new to this forum sorry if it has been covered before but i tried the search bar and no results. I would assume its supposed to have a splash guard under the front bumper meeting the frame of the car but i do not see anything. All vin numbers are on the car so im not worried about it being hit or anything. In just wondering if the previous owner took it off for oil changes or something. When i look all i see is an empty area and can clearly see the radiator and can fit my whole arm in there if i wanted to... Is this how they come factory or is there a splashguard shield i could purchase? Thanks for any responses!

Are you speaking of the hard rubber air dam under the front bumper, or the painted front bumper cover, or a front lip kit attached to the lower bumper cover?
The hard rubber air dam under the bumper should definitely be there.
Try to post a picture of what you got

Welcome to the forum.
Everyone has probably scraped theirs at one time or another.
The shield actually deflects air up to the engine, because the TL is a bottom breather.
It is necessary for cooling the engine, so for anyone out there who may have damaged theirs or are thinking about removing it so it doesn't scrape, think again.
