Engine Immobilizer

Does the 2G TL and 3G TL have the same immobilizer system? I was just curious, because I was watching the news this morning. They said an innocent man was killed when his car was struck at high-speed by a stolen car that ran a red light, that was being pursued by police.

They showed the accident scene, and the stolen car was an 02'/03' Acura TL Type-S

I thought only a flatbed could steal a TL?

All you can do is slow a thief down, not stop him.
