Engine Fitment 3rd Gen TL

I have an 04 TL Base manual with 283,000 miles. I’m thinking of getting a newer engine. Will the engines from newer generations fit without a lot of modifications? Thanks in advance.

Let's take a step backwards, why do you want a newer engine? What's wrong with your current engine?

Put in a J35A6 out of the 05+ Odyssey (LX/EX only), it is literally a direct drop in per the thread below.
