Engine emblem debadge?

Hey guys, so I've just debadged my TL (minus the As on the front and back). Piece of cake, but I was wondering if it's even possible to take the A off of the engine cover since it doesn't seem to be held on with 3M like the ones on the car exterior. If it does come off, what could I use to stick a new one on (Decepticon emblem)? Doubt 3M would work since the heat would probably just melt it.

Thanks!

Pretty sure you have to break the tabs off on the underside.

It's not glued in either, it's held on by two circular tabs that slide onto the spokes.

Not sure why you would want to do this, but ok.

Oh k that makes sense, guess it's going to be a bit more difficult that I thought! Thanks

I said why I wanted to do this in my opening post, but many thanks for your opinion .

But anyhow I see a lot of people just stick on Autobot/Decepticon (Transformers) emblems on their cars but it looks really awkward IMO. As a big TF fan I figured I'd do it a bit differently and actually hide the Decepticon logo so it's a bit of a surprise when you see it. Hoping to get some really dim purple lighting under the hood to accent it as well.

And if its in the wrong section sorry and please move if necessary!!!

Surprised this hasn't been brought up yet.

That said, I wonder if the Red Alert TL's owner has an Autobot badge on his engine cover...

Can't say I have anything that extravagant planned, I'm really going for more of an emphasis on the "robots in disguise" look! Otherwise the car is just going to be blacked out, looking for subtlety here .

Dude, it's your car. If you're a fan or passionate about something then express it, unless its date rape. You have the creative rights to your car. Some folks will like it some won't.
There are people who think the F430 is ugly. Point is you'll NEVER please everybody and you shouldn't try to.

the TURBO emblem on the engine cover of my RDX was held w/ double sided tape, which eventually failed - but you could renew the tape on your Decepticon emblem every so often. And the A emblem on the RDX engine cover is also held on with "clips" on the backside, so its still there.

Thanks for the help fellas. I'll definitely get a few pictures up once I have this done. Unfortunately my car is in the shop for the next couple of days (Front axles need to be replaced ) so this is gonna be delayed.

Oh of course, the last thing I'm looking for here is approval haha. As you can see there's already a couple of people who decided to chime in with their unwanted opinions, such as "rossv1" who is obviously too young to understand how awesome TF was in the 80s . A thanks to those who were mature enough to answer a simple question though!

Save your money and time for respectable mods. Don't just go sticking badges and lights on your car because you like a movie or whatever.

Also, when you make a thread, you open yourself to both good and bad comments. People aren't relegated to posting only if they agree with the OP.

Frankly, I don't care what you consider "respectable mods". Imposing your "do's and don'ts" on what other people can do with their own property is plain immature.

Agreed on your second point, though it's hard to ignore those comments when their only purpose is to ridicule.
