East Brunswick Acura sucks
So it shows 20% oil life in my indicator which alarms me to make an appointment. This was June 12th. The earliest they had with a loaner is July 9th. So I took it on the basis that the service guy, Jason, i thin, tell sme the oil life willh old up until then. It reads 0% today and that I am 10 miles past due on my service. The service had told me earlier that it is done on the 7500 mile mark and my car has hit only 4500. So I call them up today and telling them what the hell this is and the guy tells me, what can I say to help you? I asked to speak withs omeone who was somewhat mroe knowledgable about this. he goes every tech guy is busy and if you can, bring the car in ASAP because of the 0%. I tell him that why didnt he tell me that before and instead of waiting til now and then giving me an appointment that car ahead when he knows it will go down to 0% so quickly. He goes, what can I say?
I'm like your service department is worthless...he goes thanx

The way you drive (e.g. mostly city or mostly freeway) determines when the MID says you need an oil change. The fact you need one at 4500 miles only indicates you must drive lots in the city. Doesn't excuse dealer behavior, but just wanted to explain why you have to change yours so soon. I do a lot of freeway commuting and so my first oil change was at around 6500 miles. In 31.5 k miles, I've had four oil changes and am going to be working on the next shortly.
