Anyone get an aftermarket DVD flip-down screen and player or headrest DVD screens on thier TL's? About how much do these cost?

two 7 inch screens in headrest with DVD player around 1000 bucks.

Any recommendations on brands of systems? Where did you mount the player? Anything you would do differently?

I haven't installed it yet..... but the DVD player can go under your seats and I dont remember the brand...

I was thinkin that maybe they can mount the DVD player in center console.
I will get screens and dvd player installed after selling used 17inch chrome rims....

i was thinkin about headrest tv's and a dvd player, i thought it'd be way more than 1K tho. how much should i expect to pay if i get someone else to install them? i couldn't cut my headrests up..

The guy quoted me $1000 for everything... and If I pay cash and then you know no tax....

I went to a custom stereo place and the guy quoted me $1195 (+tax) installed. This was for two 5.6" screens in the headrests and a DVD player. He had 5.6" and 7" but thought the 5.6" would look better (unforced) than 7" and would be big enough... I kind of agree. He recommended installing the player under one of the seats.

By the way, I checked with the dealer I bought the TL from and they wanted $1500 for basically the same thing..... I imagine they just outsource it to one of the custom stereo places anyway.

Haven’t decided if I’m gonna pull the trigger… not sure if it's worth it for a road trip or 2 each year with the kids.
