ive heard of a private company that offers a $600 after-market adapter to turn a nav system into a TV/dvd player/videogam player/ + other auxiliary devices.

It has been done on all the Honda/Acura Cars with Navi, including TSX, Accord, MDX, and 2nd Gen CL/TL

Someone is bound to try it on the 04 TL Soon..

The kit everyone uses is plug and play, and requires no splicing of wires, it has RCA Inputs so you can plug in PS2, DVD, XBOX, VCR, Antenna for local channels, and also hook up a rear view camera to see in reverse

People refer to it as Sams Conversion, I dont rmr the website but I will post it when I find it..

I know Ron will probably end up doing this on someones 04TL

Heres a MDX Guy who tried the conversion

http://acuramdx.org/forums/showthrea...&highlight=sam

One advantage of the DVD Player is, you can use it to play MP3 CD's and it will show ID3 Tags on Navi Screen! That is what this guy did with his DVD Player

The system itself will go under your seat, you can put the DVD Player under the other seat or be creative..

It goes in the trunk, or that is how most do it. Prob safer. Also it uses the DVD drive that holds the DVD disc for the nav. Any ideas where to put the back up camera?

I am thinking the TL will be a little more difficult, since the unit is mounted on the trunk floor.

What are you saying..

Most people put the receiver under the seat so they can access it and plug in A/V Inputs and use the IR Sensor..

Another thing, You buy your own DVD Player, The NAVI DVD doesn't work to show Movies..

Where are you getting your info? :wow:

The Backup camera isn't really noticable I Think.

Heres one from the Pilot:

it was originally a pic from hondaacura_world and that word got censored so it didn't work, I rehosted it myself

!st of all your pic doesn;t work, please repost as I would love to see it

2nd many people attatch it in the trunk wher eit is outta the way and can't be damaged when u drag snow in teh car. My fault about the DVD, I was wrong. The IR sensor is usuallty just run by a wire and mounted by the little storage bins in front (hidden out of sight)
