Will the TL's system play the audio from a DVD- Video disc?

There is a thread where some guys much smarter than me figured out how to rip the audio tracks off of a DVD-V concert disc and burn it back as a DTS audio disc. Unfortunately, it involves several shareware programs as well as one very expensive DTS encoding program. I wish that there was an easier (and cheaper) method.
