What are you all using to dry the car after you wash it...100% cotton towels or those soft absorbant leathers....
Also, whats the best product to clean the wheels, from the brake dust.
Thankx...

I've used "the absorber" for 10+ years w/excellent results. $12 http://www.a4stuff.com/detailing_dry.php
I use the 100% cotton towel or those cloth diapers. They do a hell of a job. I usually just take a sponge with the left over car wash soapy water to clean my wheels. I dont have much brake dust tho.... then again I'm in an auto so no brembo brakes for me.

I use 1 microfiber towel. I dry the windows with cotton towel first. Then, like Yaaro Dhana, I dab with the micro fiber towel. It really works well! What I'd really like is some kind of device that lets me quickly and thoroughly ring the micro fiber towel out.

I use Leaf Blower first and then a 100% Fieldcrest cotton towel. Absorbing leather traps a lot of dirt sometime and you do not want any dirt on it Narmeen especially on cars like ours. NBP!

Try Super Clean for your brake dust problem..

I would not use it. Chamoise are very absorbant but are very difficult to clean once dirty. Any dirt will put scratches on your paint for sure.

Just as long as you do not drop the absorber, cotton/MF towel scratches shouldn't be an issue.
I take the nozzle off the hose and let the water pour over the car. This pulls most of the water off the car. This technique is amazing! Then use the California Blade for what little water is left. Then just wipe with a towel picking up the remainig drops

The best out there is the Absorber. The blade is a pain to use, cotton doesnt absorb 1/2 of what the absorber does and real leather shamies dont last very long or hold as much water either. I've always wondered where the Absorber name came from. In the 70's they used to sell the same thing in a single color and it was called Kanebo. I was in PR then so I dont know if it was an asian knock off or if the Absorber or its parent company bought the Kanebo brand. Anybody know??? Anyway its the best dryer by far in my book, quick and scratchless.
I too have used the absorber (synthetic chaomis) for the past 10+ years. I used leather chaomis in the past when I was a teen detailing cars for the local Ford dealer, but they tend to tear after some use and also starts to fade in amount of water they draw. I did have a question on this stuff, is it less damaging than 100% cotton towel? The dirt trapping issue, I would guess, are common to both. Any opinions on this out there?
The California Blade is really great!. Very thin silicone blade which has a T shape at the end which pulls water off with each stroke. But first, I take the nozzle off the hose and pour the water over the car. This pulls the water off in sheets with very little drops remaining.
What a country (and what a car)
Have had my 5AT/Diamond White/Parchment for 3 weeks and washed it twice, I dry using a microfiber but will now consider the blade described here. But actually I was posting to say is this a GREAT country or what??!! When all we have to worry about is what to use to dry our TLs!!
Sorry, skotchrox, but the reason the whole rest of the world hates the US is because of our preoccupation with self-indulgence, among other bad habits.
That said, pour me some single malt and to h*ll with them!
