Dry road conditions and the TL's traction

How do you guys with 6mt fair in dry conditions. I've noticed when I get on it, it really spins and the car pulls. I have Pirellis now, which to my knowledge are solid tires. I'm guessing when I get my 255"s on aspec rims I won't have a problem. But I was just curious to see what you guys had to say about it.
