Dropped screw near power-steering pump

So I finally got off my ass and replaced the O-Ring on the power steering, the noise was getting really annoying. I'm not sure if its worked yet, will know tonight once the car is cold and I turn it on. Regardless, my question is... I dropped that 10mm bolt that holds the tube right next to it, I tried fishing for it w/ a magnetic part finder and couldn't grab it. I bought a new screw and put it on and drove around for about 20 minutes.

How important is it that I fish this out? I'm worried a bit about it but from what I've read as long as its not inside the parts it should be ok?

Thanks.

Depends on where it landed. As long as it cant make it's way in the serpentine routing you should be ok, but I hate leaving bolts unattended.

it probably fell straight down and is lying on the road somewhere! I hope you put a new screw in

Yup.

OP, that bolt probably fell out by the time you finished your first left or right turn. I wouldn't sweat it. And good to hear you actually replaced it and didn't leave it missing

Yes and your tire guy will probably pull it out in a few weeks
