Ok Guys I ordered the final parts for my LED DRL
I can't wait till they get here. The LEDs I got fit perfect between the sills in the lower grills.
A HUGE+ was that you can't really see them and are freakn' bright!
I should be getting all the parts first thing next week and I'll do the mod next day.

Orange ones? Oh yeah! Good idea here they are. Now keep in mind these are actually RED and in my engine bay now, but I hooked them up just to see how they would look if they were white. In real life the LEDs will be taking up the whole 48cm of space.
As stated above I already ordered the white LEDs and should be here in 1 week or less.

XRS, I Tried to PM You.
XRS,
I've been away on vacation and just got back. What's up with your prototype LED light bars? They look really good.
Are they flexible where they can follow the contour of the lower grills?
Let me know.
Thanks!!

The spec is (20"Length X 3"Width X 5.5" Depth)
Should be long enough for the grill.
Here is the site www.madaudi.com

Then he is going to help me with the install and a DYI pic by pic.
They happen to just fit perfect between the sills in the lower grill. 07' & up wouldn't be able to do this since those are now mesh. (Unless they don't mind it sticking outside )
They are very flexible, water proof, and LEDs are protected by silicon ring around each light.

Teaser pics....
Well I finally got the lights on with the help of Sun Diego CL-S and they look great!
Sun blazing and you can call these D.R.L.
We drove down the street and people driving the other way had the "what is that?!" look on them
Sun Diego CL-S will upload more pics shortly. Until then I'm waiting for the Sun to go down a bit and then night time pics too when these lights will really shine

Ivan. the pics you posted look great but don't do this mod justice. they look great in person.
after we removed the bumper, we pulled both lower grilles from the bumper and cleared out some bars in order to have one clean slot for the LED strip.
here you see Ivan using the Dremel to make everything flush and even.
grille without and then with strip.
i wasn't so sure about using this stuff for the install, but it was easy to maneuver and really holds tight!
this is after the glue application and placement of strips. they are splinted in place while the glue dries.
talk about haywire!
this is the switch that was chosen.
finished product looks great even when not rolling.

Not bad. funny I had the same exact idea when I saw them on the audi!
I think it would look better if it were fewer, but bigger led's like on the audi.
Great idea though! Are you going to try it with bigger/fewer led's or keep this setup?

I tried with other L.E.D.s before, but I ended up not liking the look nearly as much as these lights!
I took pictures of it at night (LOOK GREAT!) but the Camera just showed the bright light and couldn't see the bright bar it puts out, so I'm going to take pics after sundown tomorrow, but before night.

Hi DaveD,
The LED Light strip I have has an aluminum metal backing (0.040" thick) and you could bend it to follow the curvature of our TL's lower grill. Each strip is 10" in length, add another 10" and you can cover the whole length of the grill. At night it is really bright and Id been getting a lot of attention asking about that "new fog light design"!!
I also previously had the 20" length as what sandiegodrive did and had that for several months in there until I decided to change it to 10".
I have several designs that you may be interested and Ill send you some pics if you want. Send me an email at xrs74@yahoo.com.

I think it looks good, you?
Ok I thought they looked good, but decided to do a lil more modding and I like the look I came out with.
I took away half the length and left only the outside intact.
I also did inside, but didn't flow too well.
I took this pic, but it came out with lights looking blue even though you all know they look xenon white. Tell me what you guys think.
